Experimental Film

In this project, I've poured into each frame the tumultuous emotions that ebbed and flowed through me during a particularly challenging period.

It's a journey in three acts: the piercing grip of anguish and unrest, a phase of numbing detachment, and finally, the emergence into clarity and relief. I carefully crafted the outfits, choosing fabrics that spoke to each emotional state, designed ribbons as symbols of my journey, and curated the makeup and looks to visually manifest my inner turmoil and eventual tranquility. I was also experimenting with music production, so the music in the background was made from scratch.

This video was shot in Princep Ghat, Kolkata, a serene riverside retreat. I aimed to capture the quintessential tranquility of Bengal's afternoons, when the world seems to pause, and everyone embraces the quietude of a nap.

This video was filmed in my hometown of Asansol, West Bengal, where I sought to highlight the ambient brightness. Yet, upon closer inspection, the presence of wounds remains evident, symbolizing that even in moments of clarity and light, our struggles continue to linger as integral parts of our journey.
